Onyo Loshakol is a dedicated educator, mentor, and academic leader currently serving as the Academic Principal at the Simama Project. His journey with the organization began in 2017 when he joined as a sponsored high school student under the Simama sponsorship program.
After successfully completing his secondary education, Onyo enrolled in the Simama Transition Program, where he earned certificates in College Readiness and Computer Literacy, equipping him with essential academic and professional skills. Onyo returned to the Simama Project as a volunteer in 2022 and his commitment, work ethic, and passion for empowering young people quickly distinguished him, leading to him landing a permanent position as a Mathematics and Physics Tutor.
Alongside his professional responsibilities, Onyo is pursuing a Diploma in Leadership and Management at the Management University of Africa, further strengthening his leadership and management competencies.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Onyo has a strong passion for politics. He is particularly focused on ensuring that young people understand and appreciate the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, which he considers a vital tool for promoting good governance, accountability, and active citizenship among the youth.
